  • description: If nobody noticed your service, thanked you, or praised your efforts… would you still serve with the same joy? In Vachanamrut Gadhada II 41, Bhagwan Swaminarayan reveals how the desire for recognition can quietly enter even our devotion. Through the powerful analogy of a dog chewing a dry bone, Shreeji Maharaj invites us to examine what truly motivates our service. Are we seeking God’s pleasure—or the satisfaction of being appreciated? Experience this teaching through cinematic scenes of the assembly at Dada Khachar’s darbar, Shreeji Maharaj’s discourse, and the couplet recited by Muktanand Swami. 🪔 IN THIS VIDEO • Why serving God and His devotees is a great blessing. • The difference between sincere devotion and seeking recognition. • How pride can influence our spiritual efforts. • The meaning of the “bone of ego” analogy. • The greatness of a devotee who worships without craving praise. The purpose of this reflection is to look within: “What am I truly seeking through my service?” 💬 JOIN THE CONVERSATION Have you ever felt disappointed when your efforts went unnoticed? What helped you regain your joy in serving? Share your experience or lesson in the comments—without naming or criticizing anyone. Your insight could encourage another devotee. 📖 READ THE VACHANAMRUT English — Gadhada II 41: https://anirdesh.com/vachanamrut/index.php?format=en&vachno=174 Hindi — Gadhada Madhya 41: https://anirdesh.com/vachanamrut/index.php?format=hi&vachno=174 Gujarati — Gadhada Madhya 41: https://swaminarayanbooks.com/vachanamrut/gadhada-madhya-41 ⏱️ CHAPTERS 00:00 The assembly in Gadhada 00:37 Shreeji Maharaj on service, devotion and pride 02:07 Muktanand Swami’s couplet 02:35 Reflection and practical understanding 🙏 ABOUT THE HOME BEYOND Explore Vachanamrut teachings, devotional music, spiritual stories and reflections that bring satsang into everyday life.
